Brad Anders in his excellent article on Djet FI,names the PCV valve as one troublesome critter.Where is this thingo located?Thanks.

Geoff, look at that picture that was posted on you idle thread, the PCV valve is right by the oil filler tube.

Not all 914 D-Jet engines have a PCV valve. I believe some early 1.7's and the 75-76 2.0 lacked a PCV.

hmmm, my early 70 had a PCV valve...
none on the 75-76 cars.

My PCV valve was bad stayed open , smoke when coming off
fwy . great smoke screen . cleaned it works good now. do i really need one . ?

What does a PVC vslue look like ? Where is it ? Did 1.8 L have them ?

If you have one its on the oil breather/filler tower.
Some early 70's and the 75/76's didn't have it.
What year is your car?
