Heck I was gonna get a set of kinesis or fikse but I think these are a better choice.
17s 3 peice fuch centers.
This wheel would be perfect

Anyone else use these?

http://www.lindseyracing.com/Merchant2/mer...ategory_Code=P3I have seen them on a few cars now - very cool and I intend to ultimately upgrade to those for the beast. I will go 17x9.5 fronts and 17x12 or 13 for the rears. I had the exact same point of view - I thought about Fikses and so forth, but for the same cash outlay the Fuchs really look the absolute best on the 914 (or any Porsche for that matter). It is really weird how much better that wheel always seems to look and doesn't age IMO.
If yous got the cash, get 'em.

One of my former employers had Fuchs centers with BBS halves, he broke 3 centers in 2 weekends of racing. He was a madman, always driving way over the line, super super fast. I wouldn't race with them, but I'm sure they'd last forever on the street.

I looked at those but decided on ccw's. In the end i'm not sure I like the idea of used centers, hell they could be 20 plus years old. CCW's were the right price, light enough and made to fit.

More than a few on PP have used Lindseys on, including VERY heavy duty track use over many years, and no one has reported any problems. Jack Olsen is probably the most well known, but there are others, too.

Jack Olsen has the two piece "P2" Lindseys. The cool thing about the P2's are the centers are welded to the hoops, so you can easily adjust the offset/backspace when ordered.
My wheels are HRE311 refinished & polished by Al Reed. 17X8 front, 17X9 rear with early 911 offset. The HRE wheel center is IMO a much stronger wheel than a regular Fuchs. HRE311 is NLA.
