About a year and a half ago, a guy brings me his black 74 with a siezed motor to rebuild. Upon opening the front trunk, I found a yellow painted Mahle with an original tire. A light goes off in my head and I check the vin. I'll be damned! It's an LE! All the yellow had been painted black, but lifting bumper rubber exposed the original yellow. We repainted the valances and wheels(rivieras-the rest of the Mahles were gone). He bought the car in Cal about 20 years ago, and brought it to Tulsa with him. He then moved to Kansas City shortly before I got the car road worthy.I put 500 miles on the car to work out the bugs of a car sitting for several years, and he smiled all the way home. Got a call from him today, and he has moved back to California.

Anyone in the Redding (sp) area? He would love to hear from you. I can pm his cell number.

Thank you Andy, I have a CD full at the shop. I'll bring it home and post some tonight.
