So i've been speaking with a guy who had this in his car (not 914).
Spun a bearing and wants it gone. I'm not really sure what to think.

you want to know what i think?

YOU CAN'T TURBO A 914

but it looks like a good start smile.gif

what are all the parts in the other pix? from the upright motor pictured or misc other parts?

Hmm. I can see a few goodies on that contraption you can make a few dineros with friend biggrin.gif You need a good turbo cam and FI system to make it run decent.

Looks like he had some pretty high fan inlet temps :-)

That on top of the inadequacy of the 911 fan shroud design certainly has the capability of creating some issues...

I'd like to measure those fan inlet temps- hot air doesn't cool hot cylinders and heads-

the turbo is a buggy motor.
Apparently he got about 40-50 hours out of it since he bought it, was in his friends car before that. built on a 1.8 base. probably in the neighborhood of >$1000

the black motor is a GA thats been rebuilt with new bearings, low compression pistons, oil shedding coatings and moly on the outside. the parts photos are from assembly. this one is a little more money.
