Had this PM'd to me. I've never had alloys, so can't asnwer for certain...

Pedrinis - did they have Wurth silver finish, or clearcoat?

My recollection is that they were not painted, but clear anodized.

What say the non-members?

The Mahles on my original Bumblbee are not painted, no coating. Other non-members say their original cars have painted Mahles (Wurth silver?) I did paint the Mahel rims on the grasshopper, which were not perfect, with Wurth silver and they looked mighty fine.

Don't know what the eye-talian rims are like. wink.gif

I am pretty sure the Mahle's and Pedrini's are painted. I know for certain the gasburner Mahle's were painted. I really can't see the cast alloys without a coating to protect the surface. Unprotected aluminum corrodes too fast. For sure they are not anodized, the cast surface is too porous for that process.

The Pedrinis on my 73 were clearcoated. Still got em.
