I was just sitting down and working out the power/ground sources and wiring approach, when it dawned on me that the MS Relay Board really seems redundant for the 914. All elements (Main pwr, Fuel pump, AAR) are already covered by the stock relay board.

idea.gif SO, my question to all the MS - 914's out there - Did you use the MS Relay Board, and why?

TIA,
DNHunt
Yes. Mount the brain out of the engine compartment. It provides a Fast idle relay an connections for O2 sensor. I'm sure it could be done without it but I think it makes it much easier.

I used the stock relay board.

My approach was unplug the d-jet brain and then go through the minimum wiring for the megasquirt and hook them up.

A good chunk of my d-jet wiring is unused now.

My first MS install I used the factory relay board, but it was ugly the way I wired it, the new install will be much nicer with the factory relay board (I hope) smile.gif
