I just changed my Transmission Mounts and rear shift cup bushing and am very pleased with my results. I had the 914 on jackstands and scooted under to find the engine mounts, Looked really tight and difficult under there.
Anyone out there with experience changing out the engine mount's?
Tip's or Advice? Can it be done with the engine in the car? I bought some new mounts so I'm committed. chowtime.gif

if you have teh ealry outboard mount, it is probably an easy task, the later style on the motor can be done, but it is diffcult to get in there, need narrow wrenches to remove the rubber mounts once the bar is dropped. Heck one time I replace the mount bracket while in the car, no fun, but doable.

Yes.

I too say yes
even with the later style (as I did my 75 a couple of weeks ago)
the later style takes some tricky maneuvering, but it is doable
