I know Pat is out temporarily with a pain in his back, rather than a pain in his a** (me), but here's a suggestion for him and fellow CWs. We know some, or many of the nuances of the various MYs, engine types, trim levels, etc., but I think many new to the Forum don't. So, how 'bout nailed threads showing correct, OEM wheels, f & r bumper progression through the years, badges and emblems, seat and door panels material changes, etc. Sometimes the details escape us, and sometimes that which seems obvious and commonplace to us is unfanthomable to the newbie.

Yo, Paulie (that's Philly-speak for those unaware)!

The nailed threads we have WERE supposed to cover things like those you mentioned. Interior diff's were probably addressed with those threads, but not the other aspects. Problem is, I think we have too many nailed topics as it is. Good idea though for the wheels & bumpers, etc. I'll do what I can, but am a little out of it with painkillers right now - blown disc! First medical problem I've EVER had!

Hey McMark! Any ideas on consolidating some of these things? Feel free to do your dirty work!

Pat,

Far be it from me to tell you what to do, but maybe the the consolidation could be......Front ends, inside & out; Rear ends, inside & out, Interiors:seats, dash, door panels; wheels (all applicable to 914s); exterior details, emblems & badges, fog lights & grills, h/l assembly, etc., etc., etc.

Anyway, just a suggestion, and good to have you back "on line" so you can aggrevate us all some more. blink.gif

So, here I sit witha 4 inch thick, microwaved fanny pack - and it feels SOOOO good! Just wish I knew what I did to deserve this! Was it the porno thing? No, that's the painkillers, and wishful thinking. Got it! Too much time getting under these bastard Porsches - then trying to get back up! Sonsabitches!

True! Don't need to work on that POS Mercury - doesn't break! Unlike, the horrible VR6 VW, that has cost me more than half it's original purchace price in unscheduled maintenance! Admittedlt, the VW get's more out of its premium fuel, BECAUASE IT'S ALWAYS IN THE SHOP!

$13K in repairs so far. Next failure, it's parked & plate removed. Not bad for 62, 000 miles! POS!

"Aggrevate"? Oh, you mean aggravate.... Yes, good at it & proud of it.

Seriously, I think you have a good idea. We do need some new input areas. Problem is, we've done the easy ones (which have now been consolidated in all areas). The only other easy area I can think of is bumpers - you'll only get your knees dirty!

So, let's see how this one goes. No post bumper pics here - I'll set up a nailed area.
