Sandy and I are starting to plan to build a new house on our lake lot. We have bee surfing the net looking at the design stock in the market. We like a few of the designs but only in part. Anyone have a reccomendation for a home design software that doesn't cost as much as a house and requires a programer to figure it out. blink.gif

Rick,
Hands down this is the best software. I have used it hundreds of times to do room additions, decks even whole house builds, etc.

They have different packages for different processes and is very end user friendly. Go to the order section to see the prices. This can be also purchased at a retail outlet.

3d Home Architect works pretty well. Ive used it to do different remodeling schemes for myVermont house.

I also use Autocad alot ( for work)

Thanks for the leads. I think I used 3d about 6 years ago. I'm sure it's a much better product now. I'll check these out.
