Just to show how I feel for our little place as well as our vendors.

As many of you know I am an aircraft mechanic and pilot. I am also very heavy into experimental aircraft.

When I saw "heated seat" inserts on a discussion here - I immediately investigated.

Only because people who sell products to others on this board, I felt supremely confident the product is worth its weight in gold and confident to share with my other "peeps".

So I have spread the word on my experimental aircraft messege boards.

These inserts are what many really want and need. They just do not know it yet.

Well, THEY DO NOW!!!

Great idea on the seats mister and any Cozy III with a Vortec V6 is the shmit for moi.

Goddam airplanes. Well I better get used to it. Spending time with my ex. Nothing official yet. But she loves to fly those dam little airplanes all over the place.

I am building a BD-5 right now - when I have the spare funding - doing it just like the teener project. Only the teener was in my yard. My plane is on my front porch...

No problem dude - when I saw these I freaked! The little plane I am building is so freaking small there is just no possible way to add heat ---

This is the ticket - will be ordering once I get out from under unemployment for the last year ---

I know others out there would go gaga over this too - hey, it may not pan out but I am giving it a shot for ya---

BD-5, I remember when I first saw one in one of the Aviation magazines. I fell in love. I remember reading that Howard Bede was so big he could no fit in the cockpit. I also remember they came out witha BJ-5 jet powered plane.
Had a chance to buy a half completed project from an attorney way back when. I never did follow through, oh well, maybe next year.

The silver bullet from Coors was a jet powered BD-5. They had a BD-10 that looked like a little F-15, but that one is NLA. I sat in a BD-5 at the last Mirimar airshow I went to. I would love one of those, but I am a bit big to fit comfortably (6'2" 210#).

There are stretch mods being done to them now. Also widening mods, gives an extra 4 inches shoulder room and up to 8 inches more legroom. There is a really, really big dude flying a jet version ( actually, the guy, Scott Manning, died recently when he crashed his jet. He was doing extreme low level practice, and it is believed he "Greyed out". When going 250+ MPH less than 100' of the deck, well, bad things happen quickly).

But back on point: his size, I believe he is 235# and 6'5" --- and he fits. Snug as a bug in a rug..........I am 5'11" and 235. I fit mine really well. Mine has the 5 inch stretch and no widening---

OK, this is a post for the sake of posting.

Saw the Coors BD5J at the Mirimar Air Show in 1989. Didn't need a heated seat that day. Nor did the Mighty War Hoover (Navy S-3A) that we flew in from NAS North Island (my shortest military flight).

Turned on the heated seat in my BMW 530i Touring this weekend on the way to work. Right up there with electric blankets.

Friend has a Longeze for sale at just north of $20K. I'm thinking about it.

Heated seats and light planes should be hand in glove.
