This was my first 914. I drove this car to Ft. Worth in 2001 to MUSR.

It's not really a 2.0 BTW. It's a 1911 on a 1.8 case with dual Webers. Ate a cam lobe. Runs on 3 cylinders.

Remember that "30 hour labor of love" polished Fuch?

This is it. I'm going to clean it up again and hang it on the garage wall for posterity, never to be sold again.

Gint,
I see you're putting your David Lee tow bar bracket to good use. smile.gif

what are your plans for your new/old car? blink.gif

is it a '74?

So whats the plan?

Where ya gonna put it?

Maybe you could put a couple drive-on lifts in your driveway, then the cars on the bottom row wouldn't get much snow on them laugh.gif

Don't really know. I'll probably strip all of the good parts from it for the Zambeziteen and then put stocker euipment back on it, a used longblock to get it running again and sell it. But that's still up in the air. Seeing it on the side of my house again kinda makes me feel nostalgic.

As long as the car isn't running, without a doubt. laugh.gif

Doesn't matter. It's been sitting outside for a good year or so now. I do like the yellow color that the factory paint faded to.

Slits - Yer a sadist! This car has a rust spot or two, but it's definitely too decent for a sawzall party.

Wow...if yellow is fast, three shades of yellow must be amazing!! biggrin.gif

I'd trade you a great running bug for it smile.gif or cash, but it would take me a little time to gather the dineros.
I'm iching to get back into a 914, and I'd treat it very well driving.gif

Gint,
Congratulations the 2nd time around 914. Won't be the same however!
How does it compare to when you let it get away from you earlier?
How bout a group shot of your 914's.
Have they got to be art to your wife's eyes yet?
I only have 1 and mine left me because of my collection.
She's back now but at my age, the agony of my cooking was too much. smile.gif
You still collecting? Want to buy mine?
Look my page in signature if interested.

How bout a group shot of your 914's.

Too much jack work and pushing required to get them all together close enough for a group photo!
JPB
Wow first teener. I have my first right now and don't see it going to anyone else any time soon. Ya gotta love here bro, where is your humaninity? beer.gif

Congrats... I sure wish I could find my first 914. sad.gif

I sold it to an old PCA guy in the Puget Sound area. A carbed 73 1.7 Olympic Blue... license plate "914".

This guy had a 356 in the garage, and a clean red (fresh paint) 914 chassis tarped in the driveway of his beautiful house.

Maybe someday. smile.gif

A couple of pages!! I'm impress smiley_notworthy.gif

I think this is a good time to 'xpslain" Why did you let her go in the first place?"

Quite honestly? I don't remember. smoke.gif

If it's running on THREE cylinders, it didn't eat a cam lobe. If it's running on TWO, and they're opposite each other, then it might be that.

Good point. idea.gif That didn't occur to me, but it should have. It may be running on just two.

But Im just going on what the PO told me at this point. I haven't done a post-mortem yet.

Had too many 914's at that point Kev. One had to go. Now it's back and I have the same number of 914's again. LOL

You know what I think you should do.....

Take it to a detailer.
They can clean it up faster and cheaper than you can.

Congrats Gint!
