I thought I would share with you all my airplane's engine. This is the German Hirth Motoren model 3503 aircraft engine. Forged 4130 chromemoly crankshaft, AlNicasil lined cylinders, Forged slipper pistons, and sand-cast case, cylinders, and heads. Electronic FI with manual mixture adjustment override, and mechanical oil injection.

This engine in carbureted form is a 70+ HP engine (650 cc's)

My engine with all the bells and whistle is around 95 HP....

Thats to cool, a pusher with... dare I say.. midengine.

I remember that BD-5!!! That's probably older than most of our 914's!!! Pretty cool. Why not a BD-5J, though ???

Sucks even worse when the #2 airshow in the world is only 2 1/2 hours away from me....

A 2 cycle engine in an airplane? Do you have any way to change the plugs in flight when they foul?
