Can you imagine 485 HP in 1939?

They didn't mention it, but some bonehead damaged the car when unloading it!

I saw Phil Hill drive this car through the cork screw at Laguna Seca during the Monterey Historics maybe 20 years ago. Phil was hard on the gas and was hanging the tail out a bit. It was truly an inspiring sight that I will never forget. This car is amazing even to this day.

Darn If they would have just put it on ebay then the experts could really let them know what it is worth. av-943.gif
Have to agree with RM auctions, it is on the high side for an extremely early race car.
