Someone asked me how much it weighed and I told him I'd post some pitures.

I like how you can see the rust forming ON THE INSIDE!!

Man, that is a lot of steel. happy11.gif

I wonder how hard it is to mount one of those Sheridan's sails? sawzall-smiley.gif

I seem to remember seeing the sail panel cut open at one of the G&R swap meets and it was filled with foam.

Targa Bar = Roll Bar. Heavy and Strong are good things if you ever get upside down. I was very impressed to see how strong they were engineered. Not quite enough to satisfy SCCA or other racing organizations, but nice to have nevertheless. Also, the glass rear window serves as a nice windblocker. In retrospect, a design far ahead of it's time.

That's nice, how did you repair the holes? Did you cut them right out and weld in new steel, patch from underneath with steel or just blast clean and fiberglass??

His (Mr. Sheridan's) comment was....you gotta figure out how to mount it...

So, Paul? What did the thing weigh? A WAG would be fine.

I seem to recall a thread cross-posted from pelican of a 914-6 which rolled on an Ortega run. Driver [and passenger?] came out unscathed. The rollbar didn't collapse but the windshield frame did contort a bit. I'd say it's plenty strong.

Nuther view, Kudos to Mike Mueller.

I'm thinking 10-12 pounds maybe 15.
