Help! I've got a '74 2.0 with FI that has an electrical problem I can't figure out. The "blue" 25-amp fuse on the relay board keeps going out. I disconnected the fuel pump and checked it, it runs fine.

The car blows the fuse after 20- 30 minutes, shorter in "warmer" weather, a bit longer in cooler weather. Anyone out there have any ideas?

Thanks

Check the wires from the control panel to the pump, sounds like there
is a short at times. the insulation may be fraded on the wires.

it could be your aar. try unplugging it, although it could be hard to start from cold.

agree.gif The auxiliary air regulator is powered off the same circuit. Check the wiring and valve.

power closes the valve ....it should start the same but may idle low/stall when cold if the valve is stuck closed..... if it's stuck open or has a bad heater you'll have high idle when warm

Thanks for the thoughts, I'll re-check the wires and try disconnecting the aar.
Will let you know.
