Anyone know where I can buy 44 IDF carbs all powdercoated, or chromed?

I know I can do it myself, just want to know if someone out there offers this?

I looked at CB performance, not on the web site.

Chrome doesn't seem to stick that well to the weber alloy. (High zink content?)

They chip, flake and get ugly after a while.... (As per Aaron) Or maybe it's the salt air in our area... I dunno.

Most (not all) Harley guys here only chrome the show carbs for this reason.

Cause once ya chrome them.... And install them.... you can't clean the chrome with polish. As it's too dam hard to get to all of the nooks and cranny's with polish and a soft rag.

Conversely... With Powder Coating... Ya just spray a little soapy water at em... them hit em with a little brush and a light pressure washer.. DONE...

Powder coating looks way kewl. And it offers many colors. You can color co-ordinate with your tin color.
And you get to raise your pinky finger when drinking Casadores, as you show off your unbelievably, way bitchin, color and light show engine compartment.

And it's very fuel resistant.
(Not fuel proof) ( I said a funny... did ya get it?) (pro comedian here) Zzzz

Thats my experience.. yours may be different.

Fuggit,

Put spinners on your wheels and be done with it.

By the way... Just had a bro's wheels done in Black Chrome..

Looks nuts....

Take a look at the Weber/Ingelese setup again... Now figure out how you are going to polish those in a Teener...

OOOhhh.... My back........ Ouch...

Good luck... Unless you have a shit load of time to kill.

Oh... And Aaron.... your feet... Are Fugly....

You may want to talk to Art Thraen at ACE.

Arts Web Site

I am gunna guess he can do whatever you can dream of doing on webers.

He has tweaked 2 sets of carbs for me in the past. Jake uses him exclusively.

And he knows some srious shit about carbs.

IIRC........ Ingelese used to sell carbs plated or Powder coated, I haven't looked at their site. But ya may wanna look yourself.

And there is some guy on the SAMBA doing it also for bugs and such.. (Serranos?)

Or you can disassemble em and have ot done yourself.

Or pay me huge bucks and I will do it for you. poke.gif

Hope that helps..

Cheers,

Clayton
