I have a question

Why did you split your fan shroud ?
Aaron Cox
gotta take off the front piece to get access to the 4 nuts that attach it to the case

and to clean it smile.gif
craig downs
You can get to the nuts by just removing the fan

No you don't, you just pull the 3 bolts on the fan, then pull the fan off, then you can get to the 4 housing bolts.

You can even leave the alt completely attached, you just loosen up the adjuster and the thru bolt on the bottom, so you can remove the fan belt, then remove the shroud & alt as one complete assembly. Installation is just reversed.
Aaron Cox
yeah yeah... i know.

tin and shroud may get powdercoated while its apart.....

cleaned at a minimum.
