Is the stock 1.7/1.8 FI the same as the 2.0????

yes they are all fuel injection systems
no they are not the same, 1.8 is ljet, 1.7 and 2.0 are d jet but they have many differences injectors, intake runners plenum etc..

No. The 1.8 is Ljet. The 1.7 and 2.0 are both Djet, but I think there are some differences between them as well.

Well I do now that the runners are diffrent but I was wondering If the brains are the same.

MPS is different too. (At least adjusted/calibrated differently.)

Djet uses a MPS to sense the manifold vacuum
Ljet uses a Air flow meter to sense air flow
Not too much switches around and works well, some stuff will work
The 73 1.7 and 2.0L ECU is the same but can't be used with the 74-76 stuff
