OK, I did a search. But the search function can't handle words that are 3 letters or less, so I have no luck with MSD. So, what plug wires for MSD?

The ones I have look like upgraded German ones. The connectors say 1K Ohm Germany. But the wires are wrapped in some kind of nylon mesh. I don't know if these are suitable or not.

Anyone know whether the spiral-wound wires are really required for use with an MSD?

MSD says that the spiral wound ones are required. If you have a four you can get a 8mm generic V8 racing plug wire kit (Accel, MSD, etc), put the ends on yourself (thay come with a crimp tool) and you get two sets. You can buy the rubber engine tin grommets at a VW parts place. If you have a six, the plug ends are much different and I use custom ones made for my race engine due to the long connectors.
