I saw this happen to a 9eleben at an AX last year blink.gif .....we share the design with them.

Any more data?

I waz waiting for you to post yer pics. Not sure, but it does seem to happen at a weak point on the a-arm. Of course, the post over on pelican is the first I have read of this happening since my introduction to 914's. Maybe I missed a few? confused24.gif

I personally have never seen this. I wonder if it has something to do with bad ball joints locking up in the arm.

The 911 is a very stiffly sprung track/AX car, maintained by a VERY reputable shop.

I shoulda taken a "before" pic of the arms on my car ...scary....much worse than the picture of the unmodified part.

Here is the ERP solution looks like coilovers adn a full roll cage is recomended

I dont wanna even ask the priceIPB Image

Yep. The ERP system is VERY nice. We will dupe it for half the cost. It also raises the suspension points in the chassis by something close to an inch.

I wonder if I havent seen any of these failures because we run LIGHTWEIGHT cars and not the 911 tanks.. We have one that is cracked, but it has been on a race car for 14+ years. It didnt break (cause you know... we inspect this crap before every race)

The ERP setup,, I found a site, asking price was 1700.
