The 1911 motor is now in and ready to start, I just need to put the exhaust on and break in the new cam. I decided to paint the engine tin flat, I liked the look of it. It's been 3.5 years since I drove a 914, looking forward to taking this one for a spin. No I have not worked on i that long, I restored this car 4 years ago and then sold it, I bought it bacl last summer with a bad motor, I promptly sold it again, then bought it back again a month ago, this time I built the motor and plan on keeping it for awhile.

I like the flat black.

I'll take some tomorrow. The engine bay is gloss black, I will probably paint it flat also.
