I have a brain cramp and I need a bit of help. Will a steel 72 wheel fit on a 74?? I don't see a problem with it but I thought I would ask the group. Thanks. MSG L

Not a dumb question.
72 is a strange year but... probably not. Later (72.5 through 76) front rotors had a centering ring. You're early wheels probably do not accept this.
I didn't think there were any differences in offset or whatever through the entire range....

I just noticed you were talking about Steel wheels... not sure if they had issues with the centering ring. Been so long since I've had anything 4-lug.

The technical bulletin on the subject says all the rims were updated. However, all steel rims can be used on later vehicles, but the hub centering is not effective. Pedrini rims with part # 914.361.013.00 cannot be used unless they are machined for clearance.
