Full Version: Is this dash useable???

OK, got the dash out of the parts car smilie_pokal.gif
No cracks, but there are two missing bolts on the side
nearest the drivers window. I didn't break them, the
metal strip that runs in the dash where the bolts were
is rusted and brittle, hence teh bolts just fell out when
I touched them. So is this still a good dash???

Dusty but perfect.

Andy take those pics for ya?

I have welded studs unto the bumper tops to make them good again...

I'm betting this one would stick up in the corners without studs/nuts..

Although the side pillars on the windshield frame would probably help hold it down.

Hey, no comments from the peanut gallery smile.gif
Are you going to be home between Turkey & Xmas?
Might make a run down to Indy for a meeting on
Monday Dec 15th. Think I might stop at the race shop
there and see about a helmet for autoxing.

So B, its worth saving?? I was going to sell it to help fund
my 914 madness.
Brad Roberts
Clean it up and make sure it is not brittle..

Massage some good stuff into it from Mothers or Mequiers.. if it doesnt crack.. sell it..

my bumper top is nice but missing two studs. i thought that the heat from the welder would warp the bumper top rolleyes.gif ...thanks, ill have my uncle weld it then.

I glued them in with a construction glue like "Liquid Nails" That stuff will hold anything once it dries.

Garold,
Yup, I'll be here. No plans out of town until early June.
