I am seriously thinking about changing the date to 2nd week in June, to give those involved in graduations, birthdays, etc.... a chance to get that done before the meet! I'd love to get a bunch of people out to this meet this year!
I will be following up with those in the planning area of this event within the next day or two, I apologize for my absence.

Mid to late June would be better for me. You will probably get a much better turnout if you avoid holidays like Mother's Day and Father's Day weekends too.
Thanks

Thats what I was thinking. I have obligations on the first weekend of June, hence me shifting to the 2nd week of June.
I'll let this play out for a couple of days while events are planned, etc.
Thanks everyone for your cooperation!

I think I missed something.... I thought the date for this event was May 11 thru the 13th?

Guys, I was concerned with the May date as it corresponded with holidays such as graduations and mother's day and celebrations.
I had hoped that by changing the date for the event, we are able to benefit by having more individuals able to come.

Just my 2 cents, I am good for the original date in May (if my car is up and running!) or the 2nd week of June or later is also good.
On another subject would there be any intrest in getting together to drive out and attend one of the meets at Keeneland? Spring race dates are April 6th thru 27th I believe. Be a lot of fun.

June is better for me, but I don't know if I can commit yet to any date.
I know there was a conflict with Mother's Day in the past...

Yes and my hopes of getting a universal acceptance of the alternate date was not as easy as I had thought.
The original date does overlap on Mother's Day. Its an issue to some, others it isn't. I think it would be a great idea to bring mom to see the beautiful Kentucky landscape
I want to maximize the amount of people who attend--and if that means changing the date, then so be it.
I just need some acceptance of either date.
And I do realize that the old adage still applies--"Can't please everybody"
I just want the most 914's out there as possible.

Is it OK to bring a "new" 914 if an old one isn't up to the trip?

I vote for the 2nd week in June too, I'm callign around and seeing if the Bluegrass Motorsports (Porsche dealer) would help with something.
Maybe an event or something.
