Slits sent me a fan for Waide's engine and it doesn't fit inside the housing.
As far as I'm aware, there are only two sizes: 245mm and 226mm ('78-'79 only)
I have a 245mm housing. This fan appears to measure 250mm, but I'm unaware of anything over 245mm ever being produced.
All of the 245mm (early, late and 5-blade) are interchangable. Ron sent an early style 11-blade. It should fit.
Liz's early 11-blade does fit.
Anyone?

I was hoping it was a part off of 114.
Slits could eBay it for $$$$.
I did notice the casting looked rough, but why can't I find ANY reference to this size fan?

I have the ring .... he didn't request it.
I didn't sell it .... I just sent what he asked for.
Now, if the fan was in an engine fire would it swell 5 mm?
I am headed to the parts stash to get the number off the ring, but as I remember it was 3R.

Hot enough to swell=Hot enough to melt IMO. So I don't think so.
The fans should be magnesium. How can I tell this is aluminum without filing it? I can tell the difference between mag and aluminum when I file it, but otherwise????

If you hold a torch to it and it melts, it's aluminum. If it turns into a flare, it's magnesium.

I believe there was also a 250mm. Rare though. Great thread here:
