So, even with the wife who used to burn thru brakes every 15-20K on the Chevy Suburban 1500....my 2500 GMC with 55K is still on the factory pads.

I finally got her out of the Big ASS SUV (she got the T5 Volvo Wagon) and the 2500 is now mine to use for the boat, car trailer and parts hauler....for what it was designed for... alfred.gif

Anyways....it stops OK...I'm really impressed as to the longevity on the pads....so cheap SOB I am, I look on eBay. Of course there is bling, bling, slotted and cross drilled rotors. Are they as crack prone as Porsche ones?

I mean I noticed an improvement when I went to ATE slotted rotors on my 911 and 914s...are upgraded rotors worth it on a tow vehicle like the 2500 with a 6.0L engine?

I always bought stock replacement pads/rotors for my Chev/GM work trucks. They take a long time to wear out and I never had a problem with braking performance. I would have to ask for trade discount at the parts counter though because they aren't cheap.

DON'T get ceramic pads! i only got 10k outta them ona 1ton, the same brakes that you have.

As much as I abused my brakes on my F-250 I personally would not put

anything on that was prone to breakage. My .02
