My dad knows a guy in the denver area that has what has to be 30+ Citroens from basket case to easy resto . I belive he used to be a Citroen mechanic and just kept buying up cars . Now they just sit ... is there any one here that knows much about these cars and if there is a very big interest in them .... I might be able to work a deal for some of them either for my self or others.

CITROEN are very interresting cars. They always designed cars that were 20 years before the other.

These are considered as the classics
The TRACTION was first front wheel drive / full body (no chassis)
The 2 CV . Front wheel drive produces 40 years. Simpliest car you can design
The DS ... THE french car. Very unique in design and technology
The SM ... The most exclusive. Rare car with Maserati v6 engine ...

The left menu shows theese four legendery cars.

Of course Citroen produced more cars than theese four one. And if this person has other cars they might be very rare.

It depends on who you talk to, IMO it was one of the better cars made in europe.

If he has a rust-free post war Traction Avant, running or not, I'm interested.

This is the DS.
Very desirable car. Imagine the shock when it was shown the first time in 1955.
It has hydraulic suspension.

All you need to know about it is here.

I will have my dad ask him to see what he has got.

When I lived in Spain & Belgium I use to find the car's lowering rear when parked and raising when started very "unique."

There body style is another feature that I liked, kind of enlongated.

The car you have pictured is a Citroen DS. They used hydrualic suspension and were great smooth driving cars, they spawned the Citoen BX and XM. The only thing I would say is that the Hydraulic suspension can be costly to replace (I have owned 3 Citroen BXs in the 80s and 90s).

If you have a Citoen SM (daughter to the DS, a grand tourer) in there that would be a real find. Chassis and body by citroen (Yup hydraulic suspension again) and an engine by Maseratti.
