"Flashback valve", also known as a T hose junction with a screen in it. Hooks the two hoses from the rocker box vents together, and hooks them to a hose to the air cleaner.
The screen is there to keep the flame front of any backfire from travelling up into the heads and setting your oil on fire. (!!)

sorry you guys are on it TOO fast, i goofed and didnt ad picture
Collector for clylinder head breather vents. The two bottom ones go to the vents and the top goes to the air cleaner.
