I used to have some really big pistons. They were 24" tall and about 12" in diameter. I thought those were big. Think about starting that engine. That alone is probably no easy task.

I saw some of those 'garbage cans' on a junk heap at a compressor station for natural gas. The crankcase had access doors. Newer stations had gas turbine engines. I was told that half the gas from the wells was used to power the engines to deliver the other half of the gas to consumers.
