I have a 72' 914-4 witha tailshift is the renn shifter worth the $$$$$. Does it help the shifting or just LOOk good ?

Any thoughts are much appreciated!!!!!

I do not have one personally but every thread I have read about them has been

positive, are they worth the money? Good question, whats it worth to you to

shift better.

One Q for you, are you ever going to convert to a sideshift? If so wait till you

do and get the Renn that will work with it, not the same.

I agree about the sideshifter, wait if you're planning this mod.

I have a rennshifter and have sold a couple of 911 units...worth every penny.

OK , I have the sideshift trans from a parts car I have no idea what cond. it's in the PO said it was shifting good when he removed it but I have no other parts . What else would be needed to swap it out with the tailshift.

Side shifter, then Rennshifter
It will help (and don't forget new bushings, engine and tranny mounts, etc.)
IMHO, it is worth the money

For the best shifting a 4-cyl tail-shift should be updated to a side-shift and the RennShift added.
