kerry hunter says it has been 24 months since he has been able to produce a set of headers - $520 with megaphone (non stub pipe style).
http://www.kerryhunterenterprise.comnext in line for a cheap SOB like myself is paragon products at $639 (stub pipe style) with megaphone or $669 with turbo muffler.
http://www.paragon-products.com/product_p/p914.4-158hm.htm then there is tangerine but these cost more than my car : )

Why can't Kerry Hunter produce headers?

A Tangerine EVO will more than double the value of your car then.

don't forget about the Triad headers. I have them on my car. They are a great compromise, 4=>1 system, stub pipes, good fit. I got mine used with the muffler, hanger, and stubs.
http://www.triadwestperformance.com/Products.htmthey also make what is supposed to be a very good carb linkage for IDF's.
i am saving up for the tangerine so my triad's may be for sale soon.

does it come with some kind of muffler?
695 isnt bad for a coated header at all, I like easy-to-install stuff.

i think muffler for triad is extra.
paragon stub pipe style header comes with muffler for $669

even just the stock muffler is like 2, and to get it coated costs----400 (just to make me feel better) so im going pretty well by just getting a paragon header

I've got a Kerry Hunter (no stub pipe type) with a supertrapp. Haven't used it since I got my car so its FS. If it doesn't sell at Hershey I'll post it on here.

A Tangerine EVO is worth every penny (maybe even more). It is a work of art, it produces good power and it sounds excellent.

They have always looked the same to me.
Eurorace used to be a bit cheaper than Triad and included a muffler.
Here is the contact info that I have for Eurorace.

I bought Euro race headers as recommended by a convicted felon but Jake says they are a piece of shit so now I just sit in the corner sucking my thumb.

my understanding is that they are way better than HE's and work great on smaller engines.... sub 150 hp.
Kerryhunters are a bitch to install.
love the stubs of the ER, but cant afford a CFR. its a compromise....

I do not have this , do i need it?
Aaron Cox

yeah you need it. it forces the gas thru the diffuser rings......
more rings = less backpressure

There is a end piece that is open for the SuperTrapp too. That is what I was running before scoring a Tangerine unit for my 2.0L. The SuperTrapp will be loud. I found the KHs easy to install and a noticeable improvement over heat exchangers. But the 1 5/8ths Tangerine is even better.

what is the spring thingy for????
jimkelly
Apr 28 2007, 10:00 AM
i assume there is a spring on the other side too - they hold the collector pipe to the 4 header pipes that come from the exhaust ports to the collector as the collector is not welded to the 4 pipes..
