Couple of quick questions to finalize my front sway bar install:

The bushings I have that are on the sway bar itself are rubber. Does they need to be greased at all to prevent binding?

Also, how tight should the bolts at the pivot locations on the drop links be?
This is a stock sway bar, btw.

Thanks!

52 looks and no replies? I can't be the only one with stock swaybars up front...

the front bushings on the drop links should have a metal collar in them, i'd probably lubricate that, but I cant see a reason to do the rubber. The bolts ride in the collar as far as I can see... but mine isnt installed yet. smile.gif

The rubber one in the body was not lubricated I think, but people here seem to lube them. I have the hard plastic ones that I was told should be greased. No difinitive answer from me, but i'm sure I'll be corrected pretty quick. chair.gif

I just did the same thing(Stock sway install) I had the rubber gromit/bushing around the bar to. I put a small amount of the red mobil 1 synthetic grease on it. Cause from what I can see it turns in there same as a torsion rod under cornering. I dont know but im sure it wont hurt. Hopefully someone else knows and will pipe in.
Thanks

Was working from the pelican tech article, didn't see any mention of lubricants or bolt tightness.
