The way it looked to me, the CRX driver saw the 944 trying to pass and cut in front at almost the last minute...

the honda was being a dick for blocking a car that was clearly faster. he had the inside line- the honda was at fault for hitting him.

It's the responsibility of the overtaking driver to make a safe pass...the 944 was not even beside the ricer....so he punted him....

I would bet the Honda guy didn't even know the 944 was there as the 944 didn't complete the pass off the exit of the oval and there was not enough track to do it at the next corner....

Nobody should be proud of that pass.....

I don't think the 944 had position when he hit the Civic in the rear quarter. That is not a clean pass. The 944 was faster and would have passed him on the next straight, but I think the adrenaline was a bit high when the Civic didn't give way coming off the straight

If you pause the video, you see the Honda driver apex the corner about 8-10 feet off the rumble strip. He gave the 944 room, but the 944 didn't have the speed or cornering ability to complete the pass. So he drove too hard into the corner, almost lost it under trail braking, took up his own racing space as well as the Honda's, punted the guy, almost lost it again, and then posted a video on the internet showing how proud he was of himself. In the heat of the moment we may have bad judgment, but I personally would be embarrassed about that pass, not proud.
