So Erik Strelnicks with his 3 rotor Mazda RX-7 FD just changed classes from SM-2 to XP for the Houston Tour.
I already have the best driver in 4 regions signed up as my ace in the hole for the hot seat.

Wanted: 2270 or 2316cc in the 200HP 200 ft lb power range.
if the car wins tires I'll award them to the motor. Got to be this weekend

I've dropped my engine in about 10 minutes by myself. It's yours if you want it. biggrin.gif

Damn it I feel compelled to make a road trip Friday. Get the motor in Saturday and spend the week getting to know it.
Put it up on the trailer and got to Houston on Thursday.
We can talk Thursday over email.

Let me get to the office and we can talk.

It'll make a great story...

Saweet, I just did a jet change to accomidate for the hot humid weather.

AF ratio is 13.5 to 1 at wide open throttle Car is much quicker.

Alignment is done shoscks are ready
New rack in Steering is WAY better
Going to get the fiberglass doors on and pull head light motors.

So we may not run away with XP we are going to give it the best fight we can

I am even washing and waxing it. aktion035.gif

joe you still need those bushings right? Email me and let me know.
Joe Ricard
Ok so things I did to prepare.

4 wheel alignment found I had the passeger rear wheel toed out about 1/4" (Don't know how that happened)

But I tweeked them both in to 1/16" in with -.7 camber
front is -.5 camber -8 castor and 1/4" total toe out.
Tires are all ready
Fiberglass doors are on -26 pounds each !!!!!!!!!!

Engine is running extremely well. (jetted for 10000% humidity and 90 degrees air temp. (typical houston weather) Just have to change oil and clean up engine compartment and interior is dusty.

We went zipping around town today and made sure everything is tight.
I don't think the car has ever been better.

Just put it up on the trailer and we are done.
