The Hoopa Hillclimb is coming up in July. I went last year as a spectator and had a BLAST! It's a long trek up north to the event, but well worth the drive. If you're an old hand at AX/Track time, come try something new and race up the hill. Register early, the event is quite popular.

Thanks for the post, Mark. Yup, this event is a blast. Not much seat time, but fun anyway. So far, Randal, Bill P, Grant, and myself are headed up. Trekkor is on the fence. Want to just spectate and party? Hitch a ride up with us!

Make your reservations ASAP to stay at the ONE hotel within 30 minutes of the hill.

I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about the event. Just pm me or post to this thread.

How many runs do you actually get? I'm sure it's a lot of fun. I did the Virginia City Hillclimb for many years, mostly because of the fun factor. This is a bit longer drive.

last year we got 3 runs per day. they only promise 2 runs per day, however. speeds are slower and course is shorter than virginia city.

even for six runs, it was a long haul (and I'm in norcal). BUT, it was fun -- and as challenging as you want it to be.

Sooooo..... Mark -- are you going to drive the hill this year???

Aaaaaaron? you expressed some interest last year, iirc... Others?

Are they using SCCA rules to class the cars? What is the class the Spec Boxster would be in?
