I think the most revealing time was when I met Drifter Jay and Scott Kline for the first time....
J was going to Iraq. I knew he might not make it back. The war had just started.
I gave him an engine and some other goodys. I remember how It felt to meet a young man that was on his way to do his job.
And put his life on the line for his brothers and for his country.
And I had the luxury tio help this young man out right before he went to Iraq.
It was a very humbling and precious moment. Never to be forgotten.
And it all started here.... With the 914 folks. And that is another reason I am forever grateful for the friends I have met here. I don't have the appropriate words for it. Words would just fuck it up.
Cheers,
Clayton

One of the most memorable and enjoyable was when Howie, Bernie "Bernbomb" and I were seated at the same table for breakfast at the WCC04. It started something really perverted

and some really good times.
Then there's the SloCal, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, Maryland, etc. How do you really pick something that's not a favorite when it comes to this crowd?

We really enjoyed that meeting, thanks again, thats my favorite moment with club members for sure.
We are planning to visit SEMA again this year. We really shoud meet again. I think we need to buy 914 to drive around California in style, it would be so much cooler than rent a compact.

Actually Toast, the first time you met me was at a Breakfast run in Long Beach down at the marina. Here are a few pics to refresh your memory

Linda had just got her car. You are in two of these pictures, you came with Slits. I may be getting old but my memory is still with me.

Ok, I retract that statement, my memory is not so good as I would have hoped, I just looked at the dates from the pictures, Temecula was done in July and the breakfast run was November all in 2003. The Baja run 2 was in August. Perhaps I should get back on the Ginko again?

Another oldie but goodie... WCC '04, Scott Thatcher welding the passenger's side suspension ear on Doug's newly-bought half-and-half car from Bondo. Every touch of the button on the welder flickered the lights in all the hotel rooms on the north wing. An assortment of armchair specialists circulated from the parking lot to the room with karaoke and alcohol. He was track-ready by the following morning!
