In the July '07 issue of Sports Car international there is a side by side compairson of the 914 and the Ferrari Dino.
They liked the 914 all around best but liked the styling of the Dino more.. Still a little love for the mark....

My dad had a 1972 Dino 246 Gt and it was a great car to drive and sounded great. I much prefer the handling of the 914 and taking it through the twisties, but the Dino was a black to run through the gears too.

My dad had one too. At slow speeds, it was like driving a truck. But the incredible amount of female attention you got driving it made up for that.
