I getting ready to replace my plastic fuel lines with SS. I read an article from Pelican Parts and they say to use silicon lube on the lines when installing. Is this necessary and is it necessary on all the fuel lines? If so what product should I buy?

It is used to help "SLIP" the hose over the barbed ends.

You can get silicone spray at any parts store and most hardware stores. Just read the can.

Conversely, you can use dam near any automotive oil or grease you have sitting around. (NOT ATF... Thats different stuff)
Vaseline is also a winner for this application.

ALL of the rubber fuel lines are gasoline and grease resistant.
Except the old stock German rubber lines.
And they don't make that stuff anymore.
So no worrys... use what ya got in the garage.
