I was at the track the whole weekend, but just after the start - finish line, we did not see the crash directly. Lots of action, passing, drivers missing turns etc. . . and nobody got hurt.
Had a great time.

Church of Montreal was amazing. I am glad Kuby will be all right. I wonder if the incar video will ever be released of his crash. Lewis put in an amazing drive. I can't drive at that level, but I don't think i would miss the Senna corner 4 times in one race. Alonso should get relegated back to test driving until his attitude improves. 7 more days until Church of Indy.

After looking at that video, Kubica is damn lucky all he suffered was a broken leg! A great testament to the safety improvements in F1 - a lot of it due to the efforts of Sir Jackie Stewart!

That's good to hear and amazing. I saw the accident on TV and the way his head was thrashing around, I would think he would have had some head injury.

I suspect that the head shaking is why he was kept under observation overnight, but once again, the official line in the media here, as told by the team is "no injury", which has to mean "no serious injury".

Official hospital news release says "slight concussion and sprained ankle".
Incredible.

I'm glad to hear that. He was really tossed around inside the cockpit.
Perhaps he'll be well enough to drive this weekend.

Wow..... that was crazy. I am glad Kubica is okay. On another note: I love how Hamilton is doing. I think he is my new favorite driver now that Michael has retired. He is very down to earth, and he will be a good role model for my son to look up to.

He's a real role model - soft spoken and humble and when he speaks he's very articulate - and what a driver!! He hasn't finished less that third this year! Forget about rookie of the year - he could take it all if he keeps this up. Its hard to imagine a rookie F1 world champ though. Has it even been done before? I'd seriously consider going to the USGP next week but if it wasn't so damned hot and muggy over there (and we've got a little 914 get together in the wine coountry).
Now if only CART could get some "banner" drivers. I think I may even pass on the San Jose GP this year and TIVO it instead!

I think he may end up with it all this year. Kimi sure hasn't done what he is supposed to , and I sure hope Alonzo does nothing. I can't stand how smug he is. Go Hamilton.
