I hope we'll see more articles from this project. In the meantime, here's a brief 2004 Tech Review article about the electric Lohner-Porsche hybrids from the very beginning of the 20th century.

Another interesting Porsche tidbit is the diesel electric tank he designed during WW2 using the same powered hub concept. This model proved to complex for production.
