As stated, have sporadic leak. Appears to be coming from top of pump, where the hoses attach. Where the hoses are, there are a few screws holding manifold, or whatever you would call it, to body of pump, they are tight. Is stock pump in MC hole.

Any known issues for leaks in this area? Probably need to get new pump, and will almost certainly use one for a later car because I happen to have one.

Any chance it could just be the hoses?

The pump is basicly in 3 parts - the body, that manifold (I don't know the right name either - houses the impeller), then the top piece. The only leak points would be along the two joints. It might be possible to leak at that silver cap retainer but I've never seen a thread describing one there. That's pretty low pressure over on that side.
