What do you call reasonable rates??????

I for one call reasonable, Haveing someone charge me the going rate for
quatity work ,based industry standards.
We are fortunate to have Jake Raby as part of this board. I will take his advice
and counsel any time.
Remember people usually charge what THEY think there worth.

Compare apples to apples, if price is your only consideration, then I will do your heads for you for $1.50 each. With my standard garantee,4 days or 40 ft. which ever comes first.
Seriously the heads on a type 4 ,is the key to performance and longevity . Low buck gets you,low quality ,low performace, and no service. Ask me how I know???
Just my 2 cents Dave slap.gif

If you need head work done, you can send them directly to Len. He did a fantastic job on mine.

We now offer all machine work for engines.. Until recently we did not do machine work for off the street (non complete engine or kit customers) but with added tooling and another body here we can now support it..

Motorworks- German Machine Shop, mostly Benz Diesel but also 911,356 and Type 4 headwork. You may even see 4 cam parts there.

Motorworks

Bugpatch- Aircooled Machine shop and secret projects development.
smilie_pokal.gif Good for heads and alot of case and custom work. doesn't work on cylinders. Talk to Don and say 914World.

I thought Len's work was reasonably priced especially considering the attention to detail and knowledge.

Remember that he offers a 10% 914club discount. I imagine that also applies to the 914World.

ok - reasonable priced - is for sure a non quantifiable term - sort of intentional.

i am pretty sure LEN is top of the line in quality at fair pricing and I am pretty sure I would not be disappointed either - just checking for alternatives that due to supply and demand might run substantially less.

i need case, crank, heads to be checked and later two to be worked I expect.

I have a 1.8 long block as a core, I have a KH header, a set of 40 dells, a set of 96mm PCs so far but still need a cam, bearings, oil pump, etc.

My goal is to have one stockish fuel injected (check), 914, one v8 914 (check) and one carbed hot rod type 4 914 (in process).

Thank guys : )
