I am having a hard time finding the domed 1.7l pistons. I asked the machinest doing the work if the dished pistons can be trimmed flat. He said yes and there is no longevity issues.

He will fly cut the heads and this will give me the 8:1 comp I am looking for.

With good euro's being tough to find this seems like a good option.

Has anyone here done this??

Keith

You may end up with top ring issues..

One of my employees has exactly what you need a set of CP 1.7 forged pistons with the factory dome.. He was going to use these in a race engine and decided to change classes.

They are **nice** and he wants to get rid of them..

I think "Brer" has a set for sale too - try Search for Classifieds with "+1.7 +piston*" beerchug.gif
