I was about to log into a website I saved to buy some pint, but forgot that I have a new computer and no websites saved.

I have a bunch of parts I need painted in the cars color which is Porsche GT Silver, but don't know where to get it from..

Any ideas?

Thanks

Call around and find someone local.
I would not suggest buying paint online.

Tri City Paints, 6695 Rasha, San Diego 858-526-1570 or 619-688-0070. Up off of Miramar Rd. They can mix anything you need.

They can also put in in spray cans, premixed ready to shoot small parts, costs just a couple of bucks more. The spray cans shoot real nice, just did my moms rear bumper, I was impressed.

Good Luck, Don

Definitely- you'd be very wise to make friends at a local paint shop. The closer you get to actually painting, the more you'll learn you need. Like autoprep degreasers, various types of primers, reducer, color, and supplies galore. You will be going back to the store many times inorder to properly do a project... so pick a place local, and a place that answers questions.

And in the meantime you can start studying at autobody101.com but the website isn't opening right now for me.

Hey Chris look at 2005 997. They have your color just not under the model car you were looking for.

They probably figured no one would be using there service for a $450,000 car!!! oh, and they have a Carrera GT pic as part of their banner, they must have the color.

hope that helps,

Jim

when they say "ready to spray" paint in a can, they mean that theres no mixtures to do? --JON

Yep, just clean and shoot.
