I was thinking of this the oter day, if Leather cracks over time, wouldn't it be good to paint the dash with metallic paint or whatever your exterior paint is like..

I'm curious but I'm sure there is someone out there that have inputs on this??

I have a custom fabbed 040 aluminum dash that's based on a stripped and cut version of the steel framework. The top is painted in black wrinkle finish to keep it from shining in my eyes, but it looks like crap because I didn't have the time to do proper prep work on the metal (needed the car for work the next day). Tha's probably not what you're asking, but yes, I have some paint on my dashboard.
