anyone out there know how to read these bearing #"s. i'm not sure what i need to order. these are from a recently built 2056 engine that was reportedly line bored/balanced so i'll ASSUME the crank was turned (it appears to be). idea.gif

here are all the numbers on them:

rod (Mb 39372 V O .25348 3 1 0), main bearings (EXT.0,50-INT.0,25)
Katmanken
The mains indicate the case was align bored .050 (50 thousandths) over and the crank was turned.025 (25 thousandths) smaller...

Not sure on the rods.

Rods get rebushed at the small and and rebored at the big end every time. There is no under/oversize.

Jake sells the 50/25 main bearings you need.

I believe the units are in millimeters: 0.5mm over, 0.25 mm under.

i was told in another post when metric measurements where used in turning crank (or lineboreing) in 1/4 mm incraments. this sounds right in line with these parts history.

the thing i still need to find out is the rod journal size as it most likely was turned with the main journals.
