So today i saw two 914s at the Pick-A-Part in Monrovia on Peck Road. They've got quite a lot of stuff still left on those cars. Good back cushions, engine lid, two side shift trannies, hood, trunk, seat cushions, ignition columns, monza quad tip exhaust, and more. So yeah, go check it out if ya need a few parts.

Snagged a few bits when I went there yesterday (don't tell my boss I played hooky in the morning....he thinks I overslept again)

The VINs:
4742901813, mfg. 09/73, L96P (think it was a "P" anyway)

4742915847, mfg. 03/74, L64K

Both of them were serious rustrockets but there were some good bits to be had.

It was red when I saw it...actually both of them were (have seen LOTS of '74s repainted red for some reason..resale?)...might have been blue, might have been green originally. Is there an L96K? Dunno.

Any chance someone can find out price on their transmissions?

Probably L96B...it wsn't the most legible tag I ever saw and B's and P's look kinda similar.

To answer someone's question, they *used* to get about a hundred bucks for a trans, but they tack a core charge on it too...like anybody's gonna bring back a core to the wrecking yard.
