Full Version: How's this compression?
Just had my valves adjusted ( long overdue!! ), and compression checked. 135 , 135, 135, 125. How's this stack up for a '74 2.0 ???

Not bad ..... they're within 10% of each other.
So whaadaya worried about.
I would say FABULOUS for an old 2.0 engine.
May I ask, did you do it yourself or at a shop? What did it cost? My mechanic (for stuff I can't do) suggested I have my valves checked next time.

My guy primarily works on racers near Bristol Motor Speedway. He's also a PORSCHE endorsed driving instructor. Don't have the bill yet! Hopefully, not too bad!!!
At least the engine is healthy
do a leak down. with another set of consistant numbers, plug it in and go play.
