I need to mount a couple gauges in my car, and I'm looking for something that mounts under the dash and looks good. Looking for links to suppliers. 3 gauges + a switch or two would fill my requirements.
I don't want to use the center console solution. (I'm taking mine out)
Thanks

I remember seeing a teener with those plastic A pillar gauge things. Actually, I've seen the kit mounted on the a pillar and in place of the radio. I'm going to mount it in the later location. I've also seen gauges in place of the ash tray and glove box.
Lets see pics of installs!

This makes beter use of where the ashtray used to be. I have an identical one that hangs below it under the dash for the remaining 2 gauges (total of 4). Simply made out of a textured flat piece of black ABS plastic and mounted with a right angle piece of aluminum behind it.

I removed the console and added the gauges for my SBC conversion. The car does seem like it has alot more room without the console.

That's all I've got. Yes, dash is an ABS cover so the gauge mount matches very nicely (better than it looks in the photo). Biggest problem with the ABS dash covers is that the ashtray no longer matches - so the gauge mount solves that problem.

BigKat,
That setup looks pretty good. Where did you get the mount?

Its a standard autometer 3 gauge mount with the angle rings.

No - my ABS dash cover came textured. I thought they were all that way.

Nice idea using the ash tray. Can't you spin thoes gauges over? That would drive me crazy

i'd flip the temp, but not the pressure.
at a glance, we instinctively know that the middle of the gauge is 'good' and anything heading toward the right is 'bad.' (yes, i am ignoring the gas gauge for the purposes of this discussion ...)
dropping oil pressure should move in the "bad" direction...

I wanted the front face of the gauge panel to be flush w/ the front of the dash. The conglomeration of wires and "thickness" of the guage assembly would not allow them to be mounted rightside up w/o running into the dash....so upside down, it was. By now I'm used to it, and it makes for a good conversation starter.

Wow, you would do that for me?
I like the ash tray setup. I just ordered the parts to move my fuel gauge and volt meter from the center console to the ash tray!
Thanks for all the good input, well mostly good, some sarcastic.
