I have the opportunity to buy a set of 94mm P&C's , NOS from the local VW dealer... perhaps for as low as $50 ...

Pistons are "Kolbenschild", 94 mm, Dished top, (part no. 039)

Since I am about to convert to carbs, i was thinking about putting these on my '75 1.8 (EC code) engine.

Are they compatible with the 1.8 Block and Heads ?
I presume Dished means less compression.
But will that still be an improvement over the stock 1.8's?

I will be running Weber 40 IDFs, with standard Camshaft...

Sence they are 94's I am going to assume there for a 2.0 bus,
the crank has a longer stroke than the 1.8, soooo the pistons won't work with the 1.8 crank. Get a 2.0 crank and rods and change your cam while your in there. Short answer.

Hmmm , no i don't think i will go through all that just yet.
